My heater Sucks Ballz
Okay, i recently purchased an LS teg 4dr last christmas.. being that its the winter season, my heater doesn't seem to be blowing hot air at all, let alone warm air.. even if i switch from refresh/recirculate.. my Engine temp gauge also is staying at C and doesn't even climb 1/4 of the way.. Its been to cold to do a thorough check of the system, so i'm just curious what could be the cause of this.. The car drives totally normal despite the akward gauge reading..
My hunch is that the previous owner took out the thermostat and thus, the coolant is constantly circulating through the engine and w/ the extreme cold that we've had lately my radiator is cooling the coolant so much to the point that my heater core isn't giving me enough heat in my car... I"m hoping this is the case.. Otherwise I am lost for ideas...

id say buy a new thermostat...should solve the problem!

i am experiencing the same problem now.... its 0 degrees, and i have a fluidyne radiator. could it be that its just too cold outside for my heater to blow hot air?

k, i just checked it today.. there is a thermostat in place.. i also drained most of the coolant and replaced w/ new coolant/water.. but still the same effect... the temp gauge still reads cold and my heater isn't as hot as it should be... ARRGH!!

mine did the same thing whe i took my car up to the mountains to go snow boarding (never in my life will i put my baby through that again). it would never warm up for about 2 hours on the drive home back to nice warm san diego, but at home it doesnt seem to be a problem, my guess is the weather, but i could be wrong
