mr. ls vtec ?
my timing belt pop on my 96 integra and im not sure if i ****ed any valves or pistons up i wont be able to tell til i fix timingbelt i say its a 50/50 chance i did or didnt worst come to worst if i did i do not want to build my ls head over sendin it to machine shop etc. i rather keep my ls block and get a vtec head and take it from there since im goin to have to spend money any way wats the steps i need to take and do any body got a vtec b series head for sale hit me up with ur answers and opinions please i dont kno wat i want to do
My buddys T-belt poped on his 98 teg and he didnt bend any valves, although it was at idle. I also had my belt slip on my old LSvtec and I didnt bend a valve (also at idle). I would not go the LS vtec route, I did not like my LS-vtec at all. First if you dont install oil squiters in the cylinders then you shouldnt rev the car above 6800-7000 rpm also the ls rods are weak and the rod to stroke ratio is poor. I wont deny they can make good power I just do not think they are reliable or worth it.
