I recently got a DA integra with a b18a1 in it. The tranny is missing some gears but i have a spare trans. the motor has 217k with bad trans, but the good trans has lower miles. getting to the point, the motor is in the car but the head is off. I bought it like that from a buddy. Basically just needs head fixed and put back in. Dude said he bent 2 valves. he was driving and the belt snapped off and ripped so replaced that belt. I have a few extra valves he included. I never worked on a head before. I put a motor together with block, head, trans being complete.

So before i choose to drop the good trans in, i wanna see if the block is good and the head also.if not, then im gonna pull the motor, sell the shell and rebuild it completely but who knows the motor still could be good.

asking what id need to make this motor run again. the head has 2 bent valves but got extras. whats complete list that ill need to bring to my buddys shop

If it has that many miles on it and the head is off check the deck of the block. I have had a few DA's that have had the middle two cylinders sink a bit especially if it has ever been over heated.
