hey guys this is my first engine mod on my ls, and i want to make sure im not making a mistake. i was lookin at headers around the 500 range, and i came up with the jspec 4-2-1 vibrant, profab tri-y, jdm itr, and the rage.....are they all around the same thing?

 

So it is the first mod, do you have a exhaust system yet if no get that first, because even with a header it will flow nice but the flow will get stuck with a stock pipe.

He chose a Good header to purchase, and all you have to say is negative things?
You going to throw some spark-plugs at his window too??

Why don't you goto some of the headers testing threads and tell them any money spent are them are useless,
why don't you just tell Hy-tech while you're at it, the things they make are ****?

Headers are a waste of money.....hahahaha

Bang for the buck they are pretty good, not as good as some NOS but just as good if not better than an intake or a catback.

Headers do make a difference in power on all motor applications as well as turbo. Depending on the header collector size, the pipe diameter and the design. Please don't throw spark plugs at me for saying you're wrong

I personally don't know much about NA applications, but I've heard that the JDM ITR header is a good one for the money.

On a side note, one of my good friends who owns a shop said that most people on HT lie about certain products and then everyone agrees with them. This is how misinformation is spread. So.... I'm just saying that I've heard from people on HT that the JDM ITR is a good bang for the buck. I really don't know from experience.

There is my logical reason they are around the same as an intake (which does almost nothing) and a catback which usualy loses the car power. They are good mods down the road but for a stock motor they do close to nothing... 500 dollars for nothing.... I dont get why people do it

just because ive learned my lesson about trying to make a bolt on honda fast and i took it to the dyno stock and took it to the dyno after a header intake exhaust clutch flywheel intake manifold fuel rail fuel pressure regulator and it gained 7 whp and i spent close to 3k i really do think thats worth it but hey if you n00bs think it is then keep bolting on your hondas

 

VHOA has actually got a point in a way, nod about mods losing power but their are much better things you can spend your money on like Hondata and a good tune. A local shop owner told me he got 18 WHP out of a stock b18c1 meaning it had no intake header or exhaust but it was OBD1 with Hondata.

Did you actually think you were going to make power from a flywheel and FPR ?..
