MANIFOLD PROBLEMS
i have a b20b and WE switched from a stock manifold to a skunk2 manifold and now my idle is at 7000rpm and the goes bak down and jumps right back up over and over anyone has any advice?
one thing i was told be a friend was to use the air bypass valve or sensor but the stock manifold didnt have it and worked fine.
any help appreciated....

ok, looked at some stuff and it MAY be your Idle Air Control (IAC) system. it looks like its on the back of the intake manifold. it might be bad. but just a might. there are a couple other things that it might be, vacuum leak, EGR VALVE leak. all kinds of stuff. wish i knew more. i will mail one of my friends that has a b20 in his teg and see what he says.

You could have a major vacuum leak. Are you hitting the rev limiter? What ECU are you running?

start the car up...while cold.....take off the intake pipe to the throttle body and there will be a small hole on the inside of the throttle body... when its in high rev..put your finger over the hole...if it goes down to regular R's 700-900rpm..then its your IACV...if it is that...there is a small plate on the back side of the IM..take that off and there is a small black **** (8mm) socket i believe....turn that in...sometimes they back them selfs out and will cause the car to idle real high....if its not that...then a vaccum leak is your problem...have fun hunting that down if it is...
