Default MAINT. REQD code!

Ok, I didn't drive my car for about a week, no light on what so ever. So tonight I turn it on and sure enough I see the "maint. reqd" code lit up. My car is driving fine...checked oil, thats fine. Everything smells alright, what could it be? Just throw some things out there. Thanks guys! I always seem to panic when any codes get thrown at me

check this out:

it's not a code! there's nothing wrong with your car! the light is activated by mileage, it comes on in ALL of our cars! i swear we should make a sticky just about the maintenance light...

sometimes i'm surprised at the easy stuff people are suprised at. "OMG OMG when I pull my headlight lever my lights become a lot brighter"

Thank you guys! The car itself is at 138k miles (but has an odometer that says 244k since the last one stopped working), and the engine is at 60k, while the tranny is at 20k. Thanks again guys!

Sorry for not using the search function also...when I get worried I don't think

Thanks for the tip! Now that I know it's nothing bad I won't get worried about it though, haha. I actually reset my miles to calculate my running route for the night...right before I turned on the car. You think that could have had something to do with it, or just a coincidence?
