ls/vtec idling problem?

Default ls/vtec idling problem?

i think that is has to do with my map sensor because i think it is hooked up wrong. Can anyone help with how to hook it up? Pictures would help a lot. thanks

Not exactly sure how you have it "wrong" but you couldve gotten it switched with the TPS. Whats the "problem"? Surging, high, wont idle, etc. Generally if its the MAP it wont run well.

It runs but it idles up to about 2100 then drops back down to 1200 and so on keeps doing it when it is running.

Maybe the MAP Sensor, there should be something on it, try searching and if you can't find anything, I'll look it up for you.

unplug the IACV and try to figure out why its idling up so high (carb cleaner is your friend). I doubt its the MAP sensor, sounds much more like a vacuum leak. Check out what unplugging the IACV does and get back to us. Best bet is to take carb cleaner and SOAK the entire intake manifold until you find the "spot" that makes the idle change and then fix it.
