I have a 00 Ls bottem block and a 01 Gsr Head. Would i only need to buy a ls/vtec conversion to make work? Also what head gasket would i need to get? Ls or Gsr head gasket?Thanks.

some people have used the gsr gaskets that come in the golden eagle kits and dont have problems. other's have used ls gaskets with no problems.

it's not as simple as slapping the head on and you're good to go.

 

get a golden eagle ls-vtec conversion kit. I got mine for 210 shipped. comes with a head gasket. there are some great ls-vtec build threads on h-t. just search.

i used an LS head gasket and it worked fine, just make sure the UP sign is pointed UP haha, like the other guys said though, the golden eagle kit is probably the best/easiest way to make it work, also go OBD1 if you can, i heard it makes your tuners life a lot easier than using OBD2.
