start off by explaining the circumstances of the failure,
does the stereo and all the lights in the gauge cluster work?
how do you know or can confirm the fuel pump is working correctly?
and have you checked for spark?

Cant just go throwing parts at cars and assuming that it should work cause you replaced it with a different part,
how would you like it if the car threw parts at you lol,

you need to check for proper spark,
proper fuel pressure,
and correct operation of the fuel pump.

Any of these things can lead to other problems but us giving you technical information need more info to help.

Make sure you have a physical spark emitting from the ignition system.
Pull a plug wire, stick a screwdriver in the end and hold 1/4" away from one of the nuts on the valve cover.
Tell us what color the spark is if any even emitts.

If you don't have ways for checking for actual fuel pressure,
Crack the fuel rail lose a little with key on and make sure you get a strong mist/spray, although I don't really condone doing it this way.

When you turn the key the fuel pump will run for 2000ms(2sec) along with the illumination of the check engine light, after the 2 sec it will distinguish, that is ignition switch position I,
Does this happen correctly?

Also you need to check the ground g101, it is a ground strap under the hood right next to the thermostadt housing, remove the 10mm nut holding that down and wire brush and clean the strap loop and the boss it mates to on the thermo housing.

There is no sense of coming back until all of this had been addressed

Gas filter? check the fuel pump relay connector, and sometimes the fuel pump gets disconnected Random when they are just going to fail...

Is the engine light on? My ECU died the other day and the engine light would stay on solid and never turn off (key in the on position) and the car would not start.

Not saying this is your problem. But we need more details to help you figure out your problem.

Did you check to see if the engine light comes on for two seconds when key is at I position?

Did you check the ground strap and clean it and reinstall it at g101 thermostadt housing.
This is getting pretty redundant now.

Did you check all fuses mainly the ecu/main relay fuse under the hood and inside the cab?

These are 3 fast and simple things to check.

Brand new distributor is not why it doesnt have spark, There is more to the system then just the spark distribution unit.

Here try this, Clear all in your head how you think the car might work, And just listen and complete the above tasks and we will have you back on the road.

Are you getting Spark?

if its sparking and still not running spay CARB cleaner in the intack and see if it will run if it does your not getting fuel if this is the case check for injector pulse.

if you have injector pulse then ether the fuel filter is clogged or the injector baskets are clogged.

If you have no spark check the following. Info from the General spec Sticky.

No spark?

Check your ignition coil..

-Make sure ignition switched is turned to off position
-Remove the dizzy cap
- Disconnect the primary electrical connectors to the coil
- Using an ohmeter touch the probes and compare your results to the values listed.

Testing Ignition coil

Primary resistance 0.6 to 0.8 ohms
Secondary resistance 12.8 to 19.2 k-ohms

Also test your Ignitor (ignition control module)

- Check for battery voltage to the ignition module
- Check the ignition circuit and related componets if there is no voltage to the ICM check the circuit from the ICM to the battery. First check the ignition switch fuses (under the hood fuse box)
- If you get no voltage from the ICM.. Trace the wires down.. See if there is a break in the wire..
- Still no voltage? Your Ignitor is most likely dead.. Replace the ICM.
