Ls specific Headers?
I did a little searching and noticed no real discussion has been held about b18b and what header to use with them
MY issue with running a vtec header is that the longer header piping to the collector will only allow exhaust scavenging at higher rpms than the b18b is meant to run.
Engine setup b18b, hypermedialian exhaust, gutted cat, intake, and crower 403 cams (so revlimit around 7k)
What do people with decent b18b setups have for headers, and any dyno comparisions?
Thank you

You are probably making around 150 - 160whp with that setup. So a 2.5" collector would be beyond overkill.
You are probably going to want a non-sequential 4-2-1 header with a 2" collector, which are quite common. Comptech's is probably the best bet, as it is the only header in that design that is stepped to prevent exhaust reversion.
You also are going to want to get either a highflow cat or a testpipe. Your cat may be gutted, but the diameter is still very small (2" inlet, 1.8" outlet). Look for something that is 2.25"

nice!!!
the hypermedialon is a small exhaust to start with (for ef civic) so i think a 2inch collector is probably the best to prevent a huge bottleneck catback
ill check out comptechs

This is blueteg's dyno of a B18B with 403 cams, hopefully he can comment

Comptech 4-2-1 MIG weld header

B&M FPR & gauge
AEM cam gears
Crower 62403 cams
Crower dual valve springs

again, 2.5" collector is overkill, so JDM 4-1 is out the window. There is no way you are making 220+whp to take advantage of exhaust that large.
You could go 4-1, but with as you can see here there isn't an apparent bottleneck or lack of low end up to 7k rpm. Not to mention he had it tuned for a stronger midrange/whole powerband rather than peak HP (where he probably could have picked up a few more hp up top).

i was using DC 4-1 header on my ls before i had the motor built, heres a link to my other post with my both dynos
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=451684
i personally liked having the 4-1 setup, the ls had a good amout of low end power, putting on the 4-1 allows it to gain a bit more where it lacks, giving it a wider power band
now i have upgraded to a jdm R header, but its obsous that theres really no way to compair the two
i upgraded because I didnt want the exaust to end up the bottleneck of the system and i raised the redline so if it alows for more top end it still works
