The bearings should be marked with the color associated with the letter.

no, you dont. you want to use whatever bearings give you the correct clearances, oem or otherwise. ACL's are equivalent to honda's green, or middle, bearing. sometimes they work, sometimes not.

yes. each crank has different bearing sizes cast onto them.

Listen to this guy. And I would personally only use Honda bearings, they are famous for making great bearings.

Re: (doood)
what is the difference btwn TAIHO vs DAIDO in bearings. when i look on the acura parts webpage it list the same bearings but one says taiho and the other says daido? whats the difference
and i have a crank and a set of stock rods from another engine, what connecting rod bearings do i use?> do i use the ones stamped on the crank or do i use the one stamped on the crank that the rods were originally attached to. i have two cranks and one is in better shape. please advise......
------------------------------------------------------------
ok the previous may be a little confusing. i have a engine in my car with a crank that is in great condition. i also have a block sitting around. i had lost the connecting rod caps from the engine in the car so i was wodering if i could take out the piston and rod out of the block sitting around and put those rods and pistons in the engine in the car on that crank and the question i wanted to know what if i put those rod and pistons in the car engine do i use the bearing code stamped on the crank thats in the car now or do i use the codes on the crank in the block thats sitting around?
and just to make certain, the rod bearings code is on the crank next to the rod journals right? and they go sumthin like b2 b2 a2 a2 right?
