well as far as performance...all LS displacements are 1834 so it really doesn't matter, i would personally go with something newer like a 99, or 2000 if you have the money, and are really cheap keep your b16 pistons and just swap heads, get a single cam vtec ecu and chip it. BTW, who would put a b16 on an integra?...hmm from a 1834cc to a 1597cc. (i think that's the displacement for the b16 if that or even smaller...well good luck on your ls/vtec

Technically the law wont allow you to put an older motor into the car.. I'm sure there are ways around it.

Someone politely correct me if im wrong, but the 91 integra is obd0 and your 94 is obd1 so you will have to convert the wiring harness, not a huge deal, but it would probably be easier to just find a B18b then deal with any of those issues, besides +10hp

ahha.. usually i see you post on tech forum for help, now your giving help....

btw hes asking which ls motor, not lsv

try to go with b18b1 obd1 motor.. since your car is obd1, dont run 99-00 cuz you need to covert to obd2 all that that stuff. just run obd1, plus it run better

I had an obd2 motor in my 95 integra, everything plugs up fine you just need the obd1 distributor and obd1 ls ecu of course

the law does require you to have a motor the same year or newer than your car

i bought the integra in ohio i live in michigan, it had the motor in it. i figure the gsr motor was stolen. but it is the 170hp version not the 160. it has a chipped p28 ecu i have no idea the programing but i know it revs to 9200rpms i shift at 9000 will the lsv hold revs like that i plan on boosting it someday but not to soon bills come first. i plan on building up the head a bit too new valves and retainers and dual valve springs. any more advice would still help this is my first vtec. so far i have a password jdm powerchamber intake, act 6 puck clutch, pro-lite flywheel, motor mount inserts, stage 1 axels, tein ss dampners, modified cap with blaster 2 coil, cheap ebay header cause i will have to buy a manifold someday, apexi ws2 catback. im odering the new apexi neo but i really dont have a clue as how to set it up also anyone know if the apexi will work with a chipped ecu? thanks again

well if you get stage 2 cams..then yes the ls can hold it to 9000

are you going to do the work yourself?...because it really depends on how you do it, ls/vtec is a high maintanence engine...ive seen ls/vtec rev to 10, so yes it can

i will proably be doing the easy stuff like pulling the motor and reinstalling it but as for and honing or any machine work i would have a professional do it. what do you mean high maintance? the guy that would help me assemble it builds dragster motors. so hes got a good idea what to do and not to do. i live in a small town and there isnt anyone i know anywhere that i would trust besides myself.

since you already got a b16 swap, keep your head and buy ls block, or could be b20 block.. and get ls/v kit and start searching and work from there
