Default Leak down test issues.

I have done two sepereate leak down tests on my lsvtec and i have pulled horrible numbers. From cylinder 4 to 1: 100, 20, 100, 20. The engine sounds good and it runs well around town. It does however sound like a WRX at start up. So it makes me think that not all cylinders are firing. Now to the confusing part, on the leak down test the air escapes from the spark plug well. Possibly thru the spark plug well seal? I don't have extensive experience but enough to know that somethings wrong. I just replaced my valve seals with supertech seals. Not burning oil either.

did you do a compression test before this?

yes, compression test was 240 across the board. Forgot to mention that.

hmm 240 across the board ... you didnt even need a leakdown test if the compression test is good then the leakdown will always be good...

so heres what i think you did wrong... did you make sure to have each piston at TDC when you tested it?

its easy to overlook if its your first time with the leakdown.

I did everything right. When you do a compression test it really doesnt let air escape from the compression tester, so the guage will increase until it reaches its max (mine being 240) then it stays. A leak down test shoots a continuous amount of air into the cylinder. Each time I checked a cylinder I had it at TDC. I am leaking air somewhere and its not coming from the intake or exhaust nor the radiator.
