Just adjust the valve takes about 30 min and should be done about every 30k on a stock motor

ticking is mostly the valves. Its common thing on Hondas. I have the same sound, just been lazy on doing the valve adjustments

just adjust them... dont risk anymore damage or be paranoid just to save alittle bit of money. it doesnt cost that much to get it done.

well... it depends. it can range from $50-$90. if you know a mechanic or a friend who knows how to adjust valves on hondas... then see if he can help you out.
