Just did my front pads today
Changed my front brake pads today, and to my suprise after taking the stockies off I realized they didn't need changing badly at all, but reguardless I took the 2 pads per side off, took off the metal shim/plate thing on all the brake pads and onto the new ones and also put some caliper cleaner/anti squeak on the metal plates that go on the calipers..... all in all it was an easy job, I don't really notice anymore stopping power or anything but whatever

Re: Just did my front pads today (shadowdawn)
it takes a little while for the brake pads to bed themselves to your rotors. give it a few hundred miles or so to see if you see an improvement.
also, go easy on the pads for a few hundred miles. try not to do any quick, short stops.
