Default Integra Problems???

Hi,

im a noob in the jdm car scene, and i just got my stock '98 acura integra. And I was driving it home from the dealer and I was wondering why everytime i shift there is a small lag before the power actually comes out, it feels like you are about to stall but then it just drives normally (this happens only when i shift). I need some input and suggestion on why my car is acting the way it is. And what is some common problems with integras, just for a heads up.

Thanks.

maybe he's referring to vtec, it kicks in at around 5500 right? or turbo lag, or his clutch is shot to ****.
