ignition touble HELP!
i just got my car back out on the road but was throwing codes so i checked them today and it said i had a misfire in my 3rd and 4th cylinders...i checked my plug wires and somehow they had ended up in the wrong order...i corrected the problem, but my curiosity got the best of me...i wondered what the difference was in the two firing patterns, so i switched the 3rd and 4th back to how they had been and started it and it sounded almost the same...i then decided to try to hear the difference by switching the plugs at the distributor while it was running, ya i know...i'm a dumbass...but anyhow...it kept going just fine, and i switched them back to the right way and then my engine slowly bogged down and died...now i am getting no spark at all...i took apart the distributor and checked it to see if anything looked wrong, and it looked like the rotor might have gotten burnt to where it wouldn't work anymore, so i replaced that, and also the distributor cap...i tested the ignition coil with an ohmeter and it met factory specs to a T...i am still getting no spark tho...any ideas??
