Idle problems!

Default Idle problems!

So I own a 95 gsr & lately ive benn having idle problems...when i first start it up in the morning it shoots to 3k rpm meaning my car is cold but as i drive around it just stays from 1k-2k...its just keeps shooting back up then down the whole time...what could be the problem?...

any advice will help

well start off by checking for a vacume leak if that checks out you should check fuel pressure should be a 37psi if that checks out take out the intake and clean the throttle body,and what i had the same problem was behind the throtle body towards the firewall theres a small plate with 2 8mm bolts loosen one up and take one off you will see that the adjuster is loose push down on it and spin in clock wise to tighen and turn on car and adjust it till idle gets normal wile also adjusting idle screw on t/b let me know if that helped

yeah man it worked thanks...it still idle but not as bad as it used to

Hey man do you think I can get a picture of where the part is cause my friends GSR looks different than mine but its the same year...either that or he changed it...but it would help out

if it high vac. leak::low timing, valve adj. hunting or surging = (vac. leak) or "good luck" i can't ever seem to get a hondaacura PERFECT

my 94 gsr is doing the same thing. i still havn't figured it out. have you tried cleaning out your iacv?

sometimes, if you cannot find the leak the IAC valve itself can be stuck open or shut causing an irratic idle. Spraying carb cleaner around gaskets does an alright job. If you car stalls out, you found the problem.

i dont think he was trying to say theres a leak at the iac...but instead maybe its dirty..which is a common problem

Well do you guys think you can send me a link or a picture on where the problem could be from?...

Or any visual way will help cause i tried cleaning the throttle body & nothing..check for leaks & also continues to idle

my integra did that too, it was the throttle body in my case. but best of luck.
