Default Idle problem.... please help

After I change my thermostat, the car sometimes idle so rough, between 1100 to 2300 rpm. But, sometimes also idle at 2200 and stay here.... if I let the engine running, the idle after 15 minutes will go down to 1100....

Does any one know why.... and how to fix it...

Thanks...

Cel's stand for check engine light. The IACV is the idle air control valve located on the back of the intake manifold. Usually they will crude up and start messing with your idle.

well coolant does run through the IACV and the Throttle body ... check your coolant level in the radiator ... now that its ran and pump some more coolant through ... how well is the temp gauge working ? is your fans kicking on ?

had the same prob. Add coolant, and open bleeder screw to get air bubbles out. The thermo. cant register the temp of steam so be sure all the bubbles are gone.
