Check idle control valve, coolant leaks, vacuum leaks, clean idle air control, and check FITV

Clean the IACV. Do an idle adjustment. Does it stay at 1300 or jump around. If it just stay there then you probably can just get away with an idle adjustment.

i have a 90 da integra with a b18b1 engine. Im alo having the same problem and wanted to know why my engine doesn't have the FITV. Ive been reading alot and it says that it should be right under my throttle body but its not even there. Any ideas why?

I do have the IACV but not the FITV. My car idles really high and fluctuates. When its cold I would need to warm it up and keep my foot on the gas or else it turns off. Anyone that has suggestions please post. THANKS

the big tan screw in the fitv tends to back its self out so take the 2 8 mill bolts off the cap and screw it all the way in and put the cap back on and chec idel . should fix it and as for the da were is the map sensor on your car? someone may have switched to a newer tB and you dont have the cold start aid or its a vacume diafram that looks like its on the front of the tb but if its not conected or leaks thats probly it
