IAB Question/ Temp Solution
my brother recently purchased a 95 gsr it had a after market intake manifold. He was given the stock gsr manifold with the purchase of the car and we are trying to install the oem one right now so it can pass smog since the other one also wasn't utilizing the iac control. well after ordering gaskets and misc. bolts/nuts i totally forgot he didn't give us the Iab solenoid and canister it mounts on.
id like to put this together and have it running as quick as possible so i can take it to get smoged and register it. Question is
1. Should i just run a vacuum line from the manifold nipple the fuel pressure regulator and not connect the Iab Diaphragm and keep it open until i can connect the Iab system?
or
2. Should i just run a "Y" adapter off the same line to the fuel pressure regulator and hook it up to the Iab Diaphragm and keep it closed all the time BUT Keep the rpm's under 5,750? (dont ever really hit vtec engagement usually stay under that its just a dd car)
thanks for the help & opinions guys & gals
