I got headers installed but there turning goldish?
im not sure if thats normal but there turning gold i guess form the heat?
is that normal cause i wanted them to stay silver

yeah like Kendall said that will happen usually from the heat...and when u install them its always good to wipe down with alcohol and dont leave finger marks cause when it gets heated up ur print will stay....unil buffing out or so..

yea my header was gold after about ten minutes after i got it on, now its gold and purple. damn, i wish i would remembered to clean my header before driving with it, i got some ugly finger prints all over it. oh well.

normal, u must of gotten the polished header, should of gotten ceramic =D doesnt turn gold, they will turn purple to in time =D i kinda like the look after a while =D, but if u dont u should of gotten ceramic hehe... natural u gotta get it cerma chromed that polish can withstand 1800 degrees b4 turning purple, i dont think it would turn purple in a engine but thats just a quess so dont quote me on that =/

I love the color my manifold gives off, but for those who dont like it, i remember someone who recently sanded his header and brought it back to the original SS shine.

Good thing you got a SS, they have better thermal qualities and if you scrape it, it wont rust . Anyone got any good header cleaning tips? mines all dirty from winter and it needs a good cleaning.
