I placed an order for my header at hytech and i spoke to John. He was a pretty cool, telling me that it's goin to take a month or two, cus of the race season and all. That was in feb. 2004. I called them a month ago and John told me that there's been an accident and one out of the two employee that works got hurt. But he told me that it was goin to be down with in 3 weeks. I called for the past two day's and all i get is a answering machine, so i leave a message and still no feed back. Does anyone out there knows whats goin on with Hytech? Please let a fellow enthusiat know what's goin on with the mainstream! I got a long block waiting to be dropped!

Why don't you do as your name insists and quit tripping. Those guys are busy. If there have been employees that are injured, then I can only imagine that that will slow things down even more.

Remember, you ordered a custom made racing designed piece, not a mass production header.

True. But, he also paid good money for a product he expected to get weeks ago. When a man puts in his hard earned, he can bitch all he wants.

I'm sure they have a legit reason for it, it just seems like they'd take a hit and hire a few more welders to get people their product on time as promised.

 

Good point Atheist....even though I'm sure they don't trust just anybody to do their work, I'm sure they would either notify him or get the job done in a reasonable amount of time.

And like you said, I'm sure they've got a good reason. We're only hearing one side of the story. But I hope he gets his header soon.

 

yea, he paid out his cash over 4 months ago...custom or not he should've gotten in by now...

imo, i would get my money back, and buy a comptech RACE header, im not sure if there is a huge difference between them, but.... you would have your engine in atleast, and the race header is a good header non the less

If you did your research, you would have known it's gonna be a while, maybe months before you get your header.

The reason the Race header is good is because its basically a ripoff of the Hytech system.

 

i heard it was the other way around.. hytech was based off comptech's.

Definetly pm me when you get yours, I was thinking of getting a Hytech header for my GSR. However I am a very impatient. Maybe I will just wait till the winter, and focus on another aspect of my Integra.
