Default How to replace rod bearings?

I'm thinking of replacing my rod bearings and rod bolts for my ls/vtec turbo, but the manual i have doesn't have any good information/pics about it. No precautions about criticality or anything. So for the experienced motor builders: How do you replace rod bearings/bolts and what do you have to watch out for?

You have to pull the rods out first.

Then there is a corresponding number on the side of the rod that you match to a letter on the crank.

Compare it to the chart in the helms manual to see what color bearing you have. Sometimes you can see the color of the bearing on the back once you have removed them.

Then install and plastigauge the bearings for clearences. Tada you are done.
