how to get to hatch sensor???

Default how to get to hatch sensor???

hey guys, my hatch sensor seems like it crapped out on me, while i drive it keeps turning the light on saying my hatch is open and it keeps setting my alarm off when i park. how do i get to this thing and where can i pick up a new one? thanks in advance

Some alarm systems have this little pin and if you pop the hood, the alarm will go off.

If the switch is broken then the alarm would go off. The problem could have nothing to do with the hatch at all. Just another suggestion to look out for.

maybe nothing wrong with your sensor - just the hatch doesn't close properly - causing the sensor to bring the light

Sort of correct...

On some car alarm installs, the hood switch and trunk(hatch) are tied together (instances where there is only one input for the alarm; lower end ones). Since they are tied together at the alarm, they are also tied that when you open the hood the trunk ajar light on the dash comes on.

Check your hood pin switch to make sure it is making contact. (I also said that because the factory trunk switch never goes bad, unless youve been in an accident before)

ill check that out but then if i open my hood shouldnt the light turn on saying my hatch is open?? thanks for the help
