i just built and ls/v setup Ls block, ls crank, ls rods, CTR and si head... not tuned yet
every time im driving it, from 0 to 5000 the car rides fine, but after that when the vtec is bout to pop it acts like its in slowmotion, takes a while to pass 6000 if it does!!!

advices please

 

I'm running the exact same setup, Si head Eagle rods and crank, it sounds like it may be your timing or your distributor. check all your timing marks. But if you are hitting 5000 rpm then it is most likely your distributor crapping out at higher RPM's. You shoul test your coil and ignitor.

 

you should not be beating that car with that high of compression without tuning perhaps? lol. is prolly a good idea. you should be running at least an ITR base. if you hear pinging dude , let off and take it easy , youl hurt it. its brand new. why would you risk hurting your new engine? impatience can be very exspensive , lol.

 

you shouldnt even be driving it. you could be doing some serious damage right now.
