did it feel like gears slipped? mine has done it before, but only when hydroplaning(flooded on one side of road, not on other, going fast on freeway), not gear slipping

Are you sayin that the RPM needle quickly jumps to 7g's then back down all of a sudden even though the engine is revving? If it does then it could be a problem in the electrical system. If not then it may be your engine or tranny goin south after all that abuse.

When the tach jumps, if its just bogus electrical trouble, you won't hear the engine actually rev. If the engine is actually revving like that, it sure sounds like a slipping clutch.

no it doesnt go from 7k then down. what it did was when i was at 7k, it jumped to rev limiter, bounced off, and went down to 5-6k. I just had my block rebuilt w/ new rods, pistons, ect. ran fine for last 6 monthes. i got in an accident , put it into the shop, then after it got out of shop, it startedd happening. could it be from the accident?/one of my friends said something about the collision from the accident could have screwed something up.
