GSR Engine Problem
Hey guys. I screwed up my engine about a year ago....basically like this...
I was going about 120....accidently I shifted to 2nd gear (wife's fault, was holding my hand at the time) and it choaked like crazy. Probably reved about 13000 - 15000 rpm... so ever since then....the engine has very low rpm at idle and when I press the gas, it goes up but goes all the way to zerom, as if it's dying...but comes right back up to about 500 rmp....
So after a year, I changed my valves.....just last week. About 5 of the exhaust valves were bent. So we changed that and also dropped in a type r tranny w/ lsd....
So today I was driving to see how it drives....on 2nd gear, at 7000 rpm...it started chocking. I was like WTF??? So I did it again....and it went passed 7000 rmp...but felt as if something's pulling my car back....then the engine light came on...after taking my exit, the engine just died....which was very un-noticable until I looked at my RPM and it was 0 I turned it on...w/ no problem.... turned it off and turned it back on again and the engine light is gone now..... So now I pressed the gas and let go, it goes back to zero again and bounces it back up to 700 rpm at idle.....
The car runs now but not like it's supposed to..... Does anyone know what's going on??? Please let me know......Also, when we changed the valves, I had spare set of springs, so I put dual springs on both exhaust and intake valves. Is that causing the problem????? So confused....confused I am!
