HELP>>>PLEASE!!!
ok need to know bad...i have a b18c1 block...i have ls pistons in it just found out yes they are pr4's...HOW DO I TELL THE DIFF BETWEEN A GSR CRANK AND AN LS CRANK..is there any marking
Not sure, but I will bump for you to get help. My GSR crank is kinda in the motor for me to look at and compare, but I have an LS crank on a shelf in the garage I can compare to someone on here if there is any help?
Mines still in the block but the block is out of the car. I can see most of it though. If you post some pics and or ask specific questions I can take a look. Otherwise I'll have some time to pull the crank out in a couple days...
only way for me to tell if it was a GSR or LS crank was to get a LS rod and put it in the rod journal and see if it fit or not. if it does then it's a LS crank. if it doesnt fit then it's a GSR crank. B16 and LS crank have the same rod journal size (correct me if i'm wrong.) B20 uses the same crank from the LS too, just different piston. GSR/Type-R have the same rod journal size. another way to check is by measuring the rod journal size which i forgot what size they were.. haha.. i remember there was a 2mm different from the rod journal, LS/B20/B16 being the 2mm bigger then gsr/type-r...

yes you can use pr4(LS) piston on gsr(p72) rod. but why would you unless you're going F/I because it going to drop your compression down...
