Help me solve this mistery.
I got a 1990 integra with a b16a, s1 tranny, stage 2 exedy clutch, spoon lightweight flywheel. While under acceleration and or load mostly between 2nd and 3rd the car shakes like mad, everything in the car shakes, windows rattle everything up till about 4000rpm then it smooths out. If you take off from a light, stop sign whatever and stomp on it, it'll vibrate right up to 8000rpm or till you let off the gas. I replaced the cv axles with new axles too not remans, so I know thats not the problem. I've had 3 different techs look at it and they can't seem to figure it out. I'm wondering if it's maybe the clutch or flywheel causing the problem?
Second problem is a tick or rattle in the motor. You can hear it in the motor at a certain RPM when your under the hood with your thumb on the throttle reving it up a bit to about 2500-3000rpm it gets really quite loud when at the right RPM to make it do it, I'm completely baffled as to where the hell it's coming from cause you can hear it most right in by the injectors or so it seems but then listening from a different area under the hood it seems as though it may be coming from the distributor area. Once again two techs looked at it and can't seem to figure where it's coming from. It doesn't seem to be a valve train rattle. I can hear it inside the car when driving at cerain rpms. I'm not sure what the hell this problem could be. The best way to describe the sound is it sounds like a type writer. It seems to have a weird surge when on the freeway holding any speed above 80km's too. It doesn't seem to be lacking in power, however it does stumble and kinda hiccup every so often so maybe it is a injector problem? Didn't think they would sound like that though.
