Help me.
Ok so I'm driving today and I'm on the way to get my tranny swap when my 94 teg dies out the roads are wet but i checked what I could and its all pretty much dry. So I try to start it and it just cranks over. could a fues be blown or is it the coil pack. thanks
My teg did this about a year ago and it turned out to be the ignition coil. I would start with your electrical system if you know everything else in the car was workin fine.
sounds familiar. i had to replace ignitor and coil. about $60 each or so. did you check for spark? good luck!
p.s. PLEASE make your titles more descriptive. it helps out people down the road who want to search.

ummm....no. he would be able to see if the timing belt had broken. its something not obvious or else he wouldnt be asking. im pretty sure he opened the hood and checked everything possible before asking us.
so what kinda car is it and what happened just prior to car dying?

ummm...no. visual inspection couldn't tell you if you broke a timing belt. you need to remove the crank pulley and plastic cover over the oil pump(among other things...a/c...p/s) to get a good look at the tensioner. what if he broke the belt down by the crank?

HAHAHAHA it doesnt matter where the timing belt broke, if it broke while driving, its shreaded and you would know. i know cuz my stock motor broke a timing belt and bent my vavles. that lead me to build my turbo b18b. trust me, if u broke ur timing belt, u would know.

hey dipshit, timing belts don't always shred/break. i've seen a lot of them that had a patch where the teeth were stripped off. if that happened on your motor i guarantee you would not be able to tell with any kind of visual inspection, unless of course...YOU HAVE X-RAY VISION! HAHAHAHA

Well lost a couple of teeth on the belt and I bent a freakin valve, so what should I do? should I go built and p&p ls head or go ls/vtec any suggestions? has to be low comp though cause the turbo.

why do u have to start calling names? anyway the honda timing belts will never strip their teeth.
and for the guy who posted this thread...ur valves arent bent. i gurantee it because LS b18b1 motors are made so valves and pistons dont touch, even if ur if set ur timing 90, 180, 270 degrees off. and even if u do have couple of stripped teeth (which i highly doubt), that wouldnt cause ur car to die. anyway how do u know u got bent valves? did u take the head off?

I know I have some bent valves cause when we started the car It had a horrible miss so we took off the head and there I was with two bent in the first hole.so I am getting a b20 pretty cheap and I got a hold of a vtec set up so I'm going to see how it goes.
