Default Help...Low Compression/Drop!

I just did a compression test and my result are:

Cyl 1: 150
Cyl 2: 120
Cyl 3: 120
Cyl 4: 150

But the number drop all the way down to 0... is it my piston rings? can anyone tell me what's wrong?

thanks...

What kind engine? how many km?
how is your timing set? properly? because an open valve(s) could cause the combustion chamber from holding compression

It's a B18B1 w/ 163,xxx miles. I'm not sure if my timing is set properly. I just had the car for a month.

How does it run normally? does it feel ***** slow or lacking performance???
I recomend you re-set your timing and do a valve adjustment and then do a compression test to eliminate false timing as a problem.

It could be piston rings at worst. Does it burn oil? when you drive it or drive it hard do your buddie say you have blue exhaust smoke comming from rear?

It runs normal no lack of performance. I don't think it burn any oil because there isn't any blue smoke coming out of the exhaust.

did you have the "pedal to the metal" while you were testing? you should always open the throttle fully with the ignition disabled when checking compression. Why were checking compression anyway?

Can't really remember if metal was to the pedal.. .... I'm planning to go turbo that's why i was checking my compression.

sounds like a leak from the head (valve seals, poor adjustment, etc...)

to check if it in your rings put a little oil i the combustion chamber before you do the test, but usually rings will give you a low reading not lose pressure after you are done cranking the motor
