Default Help Identify some problems.

I have a 94' Integra GSI.
My car feels like it has lost alot of power, and the gears do not change in time.
When I slow down and then accelerate again, the car rev just jumps up like asif i was set in neutral.
I also notice that one of my spark plug leads is a mazda lead, and I think I could be only running 3 cylinders, as the lead head doesnt actually have the same shape as the honda leads, which i think may have a gap ?

Any suggesstions

Sounds to me like your torque convertor or your tranny is about done for. Did you buy chance change stalls without upgrading your transmission cooler(it does have one right)? I'm thinking you need a rebuild for it. I may be wrong though and telling you to spend money that doesn't need to be spent.
As for spark plug lead? I have no clue what you are talking about.

I dont know what a transmission cooler is. lol
Nope I haven't changed anything.
It's an automatic btw, if I forgot to mention.

About the spark plug leads, you know the leads ontop of the engine that connect to it, yeh those 4 leads, one of them if different a mazda lead, and the head of it is a square shape as for the rest of them they are all rounded.

Check your automatic transmission fluid level before doing anything else. You may simply be low on ATF.

As for the spark plug wires, you should try to locate the correct wire, either used or new. If you suspect the wire lead is too short, then of course it won't fire the spark plug.

Cool thanks for that information.

Can you indicate to me where the transmission oil is/goes?
I can, remember the brake fluids, coolant, oil, power steering fluid, and windscreen wiper watertank.

Sorry I don't really know all alot even though I owned this car for 2 yrs.
Other people do it for me, but seems like they are not doing a good job.

FIRST, deal with that spark plug wire. Get the proper set for your car, & only take off ONE WIRE AT A TIME. That way you won't get them mixed up. (You said you're not an experienced mechanic...) While you're at it, you could get a set of spark plugs, too.

Automatic transmission oil...
There's a dipstick, probably with a yellow handle, over at the tranny. Hey, anybody, where is it on a B-series auto? Back towards the battery??
Your owner's manual should have a picture of it, along with instructions for checking. I suppose you check it with the car warmed up, but turned off?

Thanks JimBlake.
I hope this is the reasons for my power loss, and rev problems.

Also I've been longing to take it to a Honda Mechanic, a Mechanic told me that they have the dyno test and stuff there, but it cost like $500+ just to diagnose and stuff.
Is this true?

I am in Australia Sydney btw.

I've got no clue how they price that stuff down under. (Even 'up here', I usually work on my own stuff.) I wouldn't think about dyno tests until you first do the normal tune-up stuff.

There's tons of simple tune-up things you can do yourself. If your mechanic puts on wrong plug wires, you can look for another mechanic. Sydney isn't a small town... A badly-running engine can mislead you all over the place if you're trying to figure out a problem. Try & get your hands on a repair manual. Even if you don't do much yourself, you can sound intelligent when you talk to a mechanic.

Still, once you get the engine tuned up & running properly, the transmission might still be mucked up. I'm no expert on automatics.
