Help with fuel problem.
Okay, this is how the story goes. I was driving down the road and my car just died. I swapped out the dizzy, plugs & wires, main relay, checked all grounds and fuses, swapped ecu's, and none of that seems to work. I seem to think its my fuel pump. My question is since I have an inline fuel pump lying around from my old car is there anyway i could use this to see if it infact is my fuel pump that is causing me problems?
TIA
Albert
PS: I also have an FMU but no FPR.

just spray some starting fluid in the throttle body first to see if it cranks over. Thats a lot easier than wiring up an external fuel pump. worked for me.

turn the key to the on position and listen to see if you hear the fuel pump priming. If you hear a humming then your pump is working, if you just hear a click under the dash then your pump might be out. If that is the case you might get a voltage checker and make sure the pump is actually getting power before you go and replace it.
