Default Help? Car bogs

My friend has recently purchased a 92 Integra GS-R. The car seems to have a small bog to it when you accelerate hard. It bogs from 1000 RPM all the way until V-TEC engagement which is about 5500 RPM. We changed the plugs, plug wires, distributer cap and rotor. We noticed that the distributer timing looked all the way retarded so we set that to the center and it still bogs in the same RPM range. I have also unpluged the connectors to the ignitor and spread dialectric grease on the ends and plugged the connectors back in as tight as possible. It felt like it was running perfect for about 1hr. and then started bogging again. If anyone has anymore suggestions then please help. I feel like nothing is working.

Could be a timing related issue. Especially since after you played with it it worked for a time. This may sound stupid, but did you check the air filter? It might need a good cleaning or a replacement.

The car has an after market intake that was bought recently and is clean. Sorry I didn't mention this before.
