will an intake for a 2000 si fit a 1999 gsr ? if not what type of modifications would be needed to make it fit ? thanks in advance

No it wouldn't... because the Intake manifold position along with the TB position is very different.

I wouldn't bother, AEM prices for all CAI have just dropped and dropped dramatically. So you should probablly be able to pick one up soon for anywhere between 135-150, once again prices have plummeted.

but that doesnt mean that resellers would tell the people who dont know this.

I work at a local shop, and we have not felt the effects of the price drop quite yet due to our extensive inventory, but as soon as we do we will most definantly pass the savings on to our customers. \

But the transition may be slow for some but, the internet is a bummer for allowing this. The internet market increases the lead time of the price decreases, and as I have noticed most of you shop on the internet. So if you just keep your pants on and wait a little bit you could probablly save a couple of bucks.
