Default AEM cai to couple with Edelbrock Intake Manifold

When the Edelbrock intake manifold for the SOHC was released, it was stated in some published articles that AEM had designed a cold air intake to work with the new throttle body angle/orientation. On Edelbrock's website, this is also stated. However after searching, I have yet to be able to find out if this part actually was released by AEM. Anyone know where to get the AEM cai that fits it?

Send a PM to user Spade or Marauder. I believe one of them tested with AEM with the new Edelbrock manifold. It was either Spade or Marauder...can't remember which one.

I saw his test when I searched for related topics, but it seems he used an intake that was designed for a stock manifold. Thanks for the response thought!

I would imagine you'd have to call AEM and find out if they actually made any yet, and if they did which distributor would have them in stock. I emailed the guy I know at AEM to see if he can find out any info for me.

Just to clear things up (since we already chatted in IM)

I dropped the car off at AEM and they built a CAI for the Edelbrock Intake Manifold.

As Marauder stated, I'd call AEM, you may have to buy from them directly or they may give you a part number, you contact a distributor and ask them to order it for you through AEM.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Roger emailed the guy so we will see what comes from that.

Guess there is low demand for the intakes, and AEM hasn't made any yet. Give AEM a call and ask them to make it!

Well I called about it, that was a dead end. It was developed but never produced. Think a stock AEM cai will meet the throttle body at the right angle after being but short a bit??

AEM does custom intakes?

No, I loaned the car with the Edelbrock IM installed to AEM so that they could build a prototype for production.
