my temperture gauge is fine. i think theres air in the cooling system because my upper radiator hose is always tight (pressure inside) and first time when i open the radiator cap when car was still cool anti freeze would overfilled. but could it still be the thermostat.

finally figure what was the problem. took my car to midas and they told me there were no cable attached to my cool and warm control (climate control). they said they manually put it on warm for me. can anybody tell me how they did that. they want $97 to fix it. do have to take the climate control unit to fix this problem?

on the back of your climate control is a cable. (it's item 12 in this picture)

it moves a door on the heater box under the dash so that coolant can flow through to make heat. it looks like it's replacable since they sell the part by itself. on my old car the cable just came off from the box, so i just put it back on.

it is generaly the ball valve in the heater hose going through the fire wall. You can see it down low behind you engin. the cable is prone to coming off, especialy if you live in the rust belt

ok, get under your dash, and look to see where that cable connects to the heater box. i didnt drive my integra today, so i don't know which box it's connected too. lol but i think it's the one on the left shown below. the one on the right is the a/c box i believe.

but it should be one of those two. slide the temperture thing on the climate control back and forth and the cable should retract in and out pushing a lever on one of the box. if the cable does not retract, you need to replace the cable or something is wrong behind your climate control where the cable is connected.
