Default header question

which header do you think will make more power?.

1)JDM ITR 98+spec 4-into-1
2) DC Sports 4-into-1 header

both have 2.5 inch collectors

the motor is a 96 USDM B18c1
its got:
1) AEBS Typhoon IM
2)Skunk2 68mm TB
3)honda heatshield gasket
4)Skunk2 stage 2 cams w/retainers
5) spoon 2mm headgasket
6) JDM ITR OO pistons

compression should be at about 11.7:1

so which header is better or make a suggestion if neither is good

I have the DC Sports 4-1 because it is carb legal. They are pretty much the same thing though.

The DC Sports 4-1 is an ITR replica. So yeah they are the same thing.

they are pretty much both going to put out the same, as for carb legal, Ca sucks ***, I don't even need emissions here in Carbon county, meaning I can take my cat off or gut it and still be fine...

The appropriate question is:

"Which header will make what type of powerband?"

Another Q in regards to those two header, how is the ground clearance? say if your lowered, with about 1/8" - 1/4" wheel gap. On my 4-1 header, ground clearance was horrible, and the tires were not even tucked, and the entire bottom of the header was grinded down flat. Are the 4-2-1 header much better when it comes to ground clearance issues, cuz the 4-2-1 header don't overlap unlike the 4-1 header, sorry to thread jack.

Most 4-2-1 headers have better ground clearance.

it's all in the design, i've seen 4-1 headers with excellent ground clearance.

it depends if the 4-1 header is made like

00
00

or like this :

0000

^that's if you're looking at the piping from the back of the car.

mine was like this,

Ended up grinded flat , but I definitely prefer the 0000 design, like Hy-tech, rage, etc and have that pattern but pricey. I kno theres a few other companies that have 4-2-1 header in the 0000 design correct?

If you've spent that much on your setup already, why limit its potential with the header? I'd go for something that will perform better, such as an SMSP.
