What a disaster! A 4-2-1 design is much better for ground clearance.

That's not always true. I scrape/dent mine all the time. I don't really care right now, it's just a DC 4-2-1. I will be custom making a skid plate when I get my RMF

If you had a 4-1, you would have ripped it off when you just scaped your 4-2-1. In general, 4-1 headers are better for racing but the reduced ground clearance makes them somewhat impractical for the street.

if u can get an early merge 4-1 header then you will not have ground clearence issues. i know kamikaze makes an early merge 4-1 header. by early merge i mean it goes from 4-1 on the way down the engine as opposed to 4-1 under the car. i have a dc sports 4-1 and i can say i have ground clearence issues with it. but my car is also lowered about 2 inches.
