Alright, i tried searching to see if any one else has had this problem, but no luck.

i drive a 00 gsr and my hatch doesn't open any more.
i tried to unlock it from the inside and tried it with the key.

i hear the motor trying to unlock it, but it just doesnt open.
has any one ever ran into this problem or knows how to fix it?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

my car is the same way im thinking its the motor or probaly the latch itself, but if you turn the key until the hatch pops hold the key there all the way to the right and unlock the hatch with lever at the same time while you hold the key and the hatch should open.

 

this happened to me just a few months ago, it turned out to be the hatch actuator. if you pull the lever and you hear the motor moving and nothing's happening then it's the actuator. here's the article i used.

This is a very common issue on '98 - '01 integra 3 doors, and yes most of the time it turns out to be the actuator. It is located behind the rear interior plastic panel (the one you have to remove to get at the tail lights). Good luck!

do you know how much the actuator would cost and is it hard to install myself?

If you click on the post choji you will see that everything is in there. I believe that it was $60.00. Good find anyway by choji , as this is a common problem on 98 - 01 integras. Good luck!

 

If you keep turning the key further than necessary to unlock the power locks, it will pop the trunk without that actuator working. Mine hasn't worked in over 2 years, I just use the key to open the trunk.
