Yes, that's definitely the way to go. Purchase the first engine, reason behind the second motor is because it is a complete change over. Motor, trans, harness etc. You don't want the trans because like you said, your going H2B anyway. So get the first one, also I got a great motor from Hmotorsonline.com Check em out! Good luck!

 

I just bought my engine from hmotors and Steve really hooked it up. I ordered on a Monday and processed payment on Tuesday. Today is Thursday and I already got my motor. Freaking amazing.
