The time has come for me to start rebuilding/building my integra after receiving a 120 psi reading on cylinder 4. My goals for this car are to use it for road course racing and the occasional Sunday drive. I want 300hp minimum, 400 at most for now. I will eventually be boosting it but for the time being and the purpose of this post is going to be bottom end upgrade recommendations. I’ve been reading a few of the other forums for boost applications and it seems as far as compression numbers I’ll want somewhere between 9-10:1, correct me if I’m wrong I’m trying to learn of what I’ll need. This car is my first project car and the plan is to rebuild it in my engine rebuilds class at my university. Anyway I’ve read as far as piston brands either CP or Weisco. I’ve been seeing a lot of people using eagle rods. This is going to be on a slight budget, so this will determine how fancy I can get with rods or other components. I haven’t read much about recommended rings or bearings, any and all help is appreciated. If any of you could share your builds or what you recommend that would be great. I have valvetrain parts taken care of.
