getting abs codes
ok i have a 95 gsr with a 97 gsr engine.
i went to my car got the a wire a did what i had to do so my abs light would flash with my problems. so i got the flashes and all.
i got code 4 and code 8. at 1st i thought that it was 14 and 8 but i read the article and it said that thers not long flashes which means that theres no code over 9.
so heres my question on this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=978933 it has for example 4 8 wheel sensor LR. does this mean that the code i got is for the wheel sensor LR or could it b any of the wheel sensors and any of these
8 1 ABS function
8 2 CPU comparison
8 4 IC self-check ?
i hope yall understood what im trying 2 say
thanx

When you read the ABS codes ('94-'97) you gotta pay attention to the spaces between the flashes. A 1-second space is between the 1st & 2nd digit of the code. A 5-second pause before showing an entirely new code.
So if it's a 1-second pause between 4 & 8, that's 4-8 which is the left rear wheel sensor. Take off that wheel & brake rotor. Check out the sensor, sometimes it gets full of magnetic crud, so you can probably clean it. Then check out the wiring from the sensor - look for breaks. The wire goes into the body, there's an orange plug somewhere. Pull up trunk carpeting & I think(?) there's a metal thing covering up the wire as it goes across to the ABS module at the RR fender.
If it's REALLY a code starting with 8, you can hope that it's a fluke. Check for loose plugs at the ABS unit, but those usually mean your ABS computer is fried.
