fluctuating idle at start up

fluctuating idle at start up
this has been happening ever since i bought my car..its a 2000 dc4
when i start my car, the idle will jump and drop about 3 times then idle perfect..
explained: when the car starts, the idle will jump to about 800 rpms, drop down to about 100, back up and so on..about 3 times then it will idle fine.
my car has a CEL, more than likely bc of bad o2's (haven't bothered to read codes). i thought it was a problem with the motor itself, but when my motor blew and was replaced, same idling problem. any suggestions..?

i had the same problem with my gsr, but it would do it longer....i had put it in the shop and they told me it was the fast idle valve...so i changed it myself and it worked...might be that

Actually, my old DA had this same exact problem and it WOULD drop down that far. I asked alot of people and they all said it was my IACV, but I sold the car before I ever had a chance to fix it.

not to come off as a dick, but you are guessing on the o2 sensors causing the CEL....the first place you should start is obviously with the CEL then go from there
