Default fix it ticket..

hey guys i got a ticket for my modified exhuast when my exhaust looks stock and when i said that gang unit told me my headers were illegal and when i told them my headers were legal they said that none were..do you think ill pass the test at the referees with dc headers and a magnaflow exhaust installed?

you is got pwned. You should have showed them the carb# on the header.

And yes, in answering your question, you'll pass. I see nothing wrong with your setup.

why would u worry about anything if u know ur car is bone stock and nutting to worry about ???

all you have to do is wait and dont pay it..then pay the 60 bucks to prevent ur lisence from getting suspended and ur out of it...trust me ive done it twice...

how did the cop know you had "headers" w.o looking at it? regardless, id rather show the ref the carb number for the header, pay my 10$ and be done with it...

But his car will still have to get tested for the exhaust won't it? I got a ticket for illegal intake and exhaust, I put it back to stock, went to the state ref, passed, but I still had to pay like $60 for the ticket..........damn Cali and the smog laws.

i think i can pass smog because i have a stock intake with dc headers and magnaflow exhaust...they will just test the noise level my car puts out right??

It may be different for you, when I went, they hooked my car up to the sniffer and everything. It had to pass smog since messing with the intake and exhaust is considered "tampering with emissions equipment". Thats the way it was for me, which was a couple years ago. It may have changed since then.

exhaust has nothing to do with emissions. ya i think they test your decibis (95db i think) at a certain distance from your car..

When you go to pay your ticket, show them the carb #. They might let you off.

Wont matter...have to go to a REF for a sound check. That's the only way to have it dismissed.
