Default fender trouble

guys i was wondering if you could help me with this problem. i purchased a set of AEROGEAR z3 fenders for my 95 GSR. im trying to put them on my car so i can roll it into the paint shop tuesday. i took off my side skirt, removed my stock fenders, and front bumper. i go to put on the left fender and when im all done the botton half of the door really rubs on the fender when i open and close it. then i go to see if the right has the same problems and i does but also the holes dont line up correctly. how can i get these to fit right without cracking them?

those pieces of crap never fit right.. and even if they did, they'd still look horrible. why oh why did you waste your money on these?

suit yourself.. you're going to have fitment issues, no matter what. i've never seen those things fit right. you'll have to settle with adjusting them to whatever looks best, but not necessarily good.

if they're fiberglass (which i'm assuming they are), you can just take a dremel/grinder to the edge of the fender until it clears the door.

yes they are fiberglass and my boy was telling me to sand it back a bit till it was clear. i am not sure if a shop would take the same approach to it but i don't see any other way. i mean im not putting it on wrong cause there is only 6 bolts to mount it to my car. thanks for the advice and ill try it tomorrow. if it doesn;t work ill be sure to ask again.
