Re: F1 Clutch (lVlemphizStylez)
It came from ebay yes
well its installed now and it is alot easier to push then my old one and this is suppose to be a stage 2. But it is weird it doesnt go down with the same pressure all the way down you start to push and its easy then all of a sudden it will hit the floor and it doesnt come up smooth. It kinda likes to jump to the middle right where it engages.
Is this because of the whole racing clutch thing?
oh and i drive a 92 ls so its cable not hydro

That's because it's not as good as clutches that cost a little more. I would have recommended that you spend a little bit more and buy an exedy or other well known brands.

Re: F1 Clutch (slowb20boost)
it grabs just fine
im starting to think its kinda just normally for this type of clutch. it isnt as bad as i made it out to be it is still smooth all the way down it just extremely easy the first half then right at the point where the clutch would normally engage on the way up you just have to push a little hard and it has a different feel as it still goes down

I used to have one of those cheap eBay clutches. The pedal feel was not linear and didn't feel too great. I replaced it with an exedy race clutch and the clutch is nice and linear through the whole way up and down. I might replace the organic disk with a puck disk down the road.

Re: F1 Clutch (Toadfart)
well im starting to get used to it though. but im yet to really rip on it ive only take it up to about 4k once. every other shift is below that. but the clutch has only 50km on it so im thinking i should take it easy for awhile
some people say you dont need to break in a clutch. my mechanic said nothing about it after i paided him for the work
and other people say its good to for 1000km's or something? i dont really wanna mess anything up after spending $700+ on all of this

Re: (da_33)
I bought a stage 2 F1 clutch for my D series in my hatch. I didn't break it in but for about 60 miles. Took it to the track and ran great. I sold the motor but it was still running strong. Also, I felt the same thing as far as the pedal feeling weird. I got used to it. I also bought another for my ls/vtec. Its a stage 4 six puck. Installing this weekend!

Got the new stage 4 installed and the clutch pedal is doing the same thing. But the clutch grips like crazy!! Now I just need to get traction.
