Re: Extensive DB V6 Build - Paddle Shifter on the Wheel!
Well when I was going to do my car as a k24 turbo monster I was going with a sumped fuel setup. I bought the sump and prepped the tank and could never find anyone to weld it shop wise and all my friends that could weld just never got around to doing it. Who would guess a geekier wouldn't make time to do anything that didn't involve smoking, snorting, etc? Anyways my buddy was at my shop the other week and had his good work welder at home and said if we needed anything welded to let him know. So the next day I dropped the tank and the sump at his shop and got a text last night saying it was done. I'm just going to cap off the 10an fitting for now but if I ever need it the sump set up is there...

Right now the car is on roller dollys but I don't have any 15's 16 is the smallest but the only ones with tires are the rsx wheels its on now. The way it's in my shop now I can get some side pics but before I couldn't. Its got a stock suspension under it for now, just got off the phone with ground control about some custom rate springs, just gotta get the car weighed.

Re: Extensive DB V6 Build - Paddle Shifter on the Wheel!
Last week I came across a steal of a deal on a set of OEM chrome prelude blades. Kicker is the tires aren't dry rotted and have a lot of life left! Anyways on Monday I was able to get my sunroof reinstalled with my custom wrapped sunroof slide. I am going to do some work on the car tonight after work and actually brought my Nikon D3200 camera so I should have some good pictures of the car in detail. Tonight my goal is to reinstall my heater/ac boxes and try to get the dash back in so I can see what room I have to work with for my brake line tuck. Update co ing soon!

Re: Extensive DB V6 Build - Paddle Shifter on the Wheel!
Well I had a chance to work on my car last night for about 1.5 hours and got some stuff accomplished. I was able to get my heater/ac boxes reinstalled temporarily so I can see what kind of room I have to run wiring and brake lines. Once I got them installed I set my dash back in (didn’t bolt it up at all) so I can see what I need to do to hide my under hood fuse box where my passenger side airbag used to be. I actually took the top off of an airbag for the cover and the fuse box will sit below that, just trying to figure out how to fab up a bracket. Also the rest are shots of how the car is just sitting in shambles with crap everywhere lol. The rest of the pictures are just where my fuel lines are sitting currently, needing to be shortened up a little. Also the clearances of this motor on the front side and back side, shows how much room I have to squeeze a full size radiator in if I wanna try, might just go with a civic half radiator.

Hi. I was wondering how you plan on controlling the TCU with the paddle shifter? Im doing a similar v6 swap into a CRX right now.

All of that will be controlled by the factory ECU, same concept as putting it in the tip tronic mode and shifting with the shifter, instead of pushing it up or down you use the paddles...all OEM!

Re: Extensive DB V6 Build - Paddle Shifter on the Wheel!
Quick update - I'm not dead! Just had my third child born on May 6th, another little girl, so im up to 2 girls and 1 little man, god help me in about 15 years. Getting married on July 6th, so you see where all the monies are going.... Anyways got some updates coming soon there after, just bare with me. On another note, not sure I'm going the super charged route, anyone have an interest in a GM M90 supercharger? It needs a new coupler which can be purchased for around $27 for an upgraded part. If so let me know, just shoot me an offer!

Re: Extensive DB V6 Build - Paddle Shifter on the Wheel!
I'm not dead, I'm here hahaha. Just a update on what has gone down, I gave up my shop and it took me 6 truck loads with a trailer (bed and trailer filled to the brim) and 3 loads with my car trailer to get my car, my sister in laws 84 convertible mustang, and my brother in laws 91 302 carb'ed mustang back to the house. Man was it fun making everything fit on my tiny back porch, basement, and back yard for the cars lol. Long story short I left my job and am a stay at home dad since the wife is a nurse who gets paid really well. I got a 10x14 building to do some small work out of and to powdercoat in. If you need anything done let me know! Any work I do the money goes toward the money I owe Don to get my harness for my swap back so I can start up my unit for the first time in like 7 years or so. LOL. Anyways, some updates to come once I get everything situated.
