Engine on stand by... any harm?
I have a 2000 B18B engine waiting to be installed on my 92 DA. I won't be installing the engine until late October. Still saving money to buy some parts. Is it bad for an engine sitting out for awhile?

(OK, I'm kidding about this)
Internal stuff that's exposed should probably be wiped with oil or something so they don't rust. Put a bag or something around it, but then you have to worry about water condensing inside the bag... You want to keep dirt out, but you don't want it airtight unless you can get ZERO humidity inside the bag.

It's fine, i had a JDM b20 shipped from Japan sitting in my garage for a whole year until I finally decided to put it in. No problems, just make sure you drain the oil, put fresh new oil. Before you start the engine, pull out the spark plugs and crank the motor over a couple of times to get the bearings/cams/etc... inside lubricated.
